Killing it behind the scenes!

  • Pre-production

Assembling the slashers and crew to make this work took months of preparation. This included makeup tests, mask-making, and script revisions. After casting the six actors from over 300 auditions, the core team gathered to read the script and get measured for costumes. A rehearsal took place on-set to prepare for the intense shooting schedule. More work happened before filming including storyboarding, shot lists, massive schedule planning.

  • Production

Filming took four days of principal photography. The crew captured 188 shots in 4 days! This included social and promotional content to make the world feel as real as possible. With a crew of two-dozen from DP to makeup to PAs, everyone brought their best to kill it on set. Even with snow hitting on their final day, they found a way to make it work!

  • Post-Production

“Slasher Sessions” post-production proved to be an intense, but remarkable, process. Aiming for the fall and Halloween season festivals, they had only a few months to finalize the film. With sound mixing to give each slasher their own sound and themes, the music and color elevated the film to new heights!
